Over the years I've been able to keep revising this site so it has greater potential to help meet the needs of as many students as possible. Room4.us was built in 2006. However, I didn't come up with all of these amazing ideas and links by myself. There are great teachers out there that teach children everyday just as I do. This site was put together by communicating with other teachers, examining other classroom websites, and thinking about what would work best with my teaching practices. With that being said I have to send out a special Thank You to Mr. Coley. Upon researching classroom websites for a workshop I taught to other teachers in June 2009, I stumbled across his classroom website. It opened my eyes to so many things and completely changed my way of thinking about classroom sites and ways to help students learn. I modeled and incorporated certain practices he created or learned from other professionals into my classroom. Therefore, Mr. Coley, thank you for getting me re-energized about teaching with technology again.
I would also like to thank Dr. Byrne and Bette Scheneidermann. These two run the Eduational Technology program I went through for my M.A. at C.W. Post University. I've been able to use Dreamweaver to build and manipulate websites in ways I never thought I'd be able to.
