Welcome to Room 4 at Frank Long Intermediate School
| Hello to the parents and students of Room 4! Welcome to my class for the 2010 - 2011 school year. There is a lot in store for everyone this year so I hope you're ready! If there is one thing I've learned over the years it's that students love to use technology to learn. When it comes down to it I feel students should learn by using 21st century skills as much as possible. If you'd like to read more about me or my vision, you can check out the, "About Mr. Perkins" link. I added a, "Graphic Organizers" link to room 4. Graphic organizers are a great extention to DEAR reading. Once your child completes his or her reading for 15 - 20 minutes, try having them complete a venn diagram or a character trait chart. I intend to put up a blank graphic organizer as well as a few samples to help show parents and students what to do.
