| Teachers are now working with millennium students. These students have grown up in the 21st century and need to be engaged in more ways that will help them be successful. This means moving from our traditional classroom ways of teaching to a slightly new approach that involves technology in the curriculum. I would like Room 4 to be a class in which students learn through through support of podcasts, blogs, videos, interactive websites, and other modern means. I believe students should value their work and their final products. There should also be appropriate ways for collaboration to occur so students can build relationships with one another and feel confident about their creations. There are so many ways to meet the needs of students and help them to be successful. Room 4 is a class that will explore ways for this to happen with a technology twist of course! --Mr. Perkins-- |
