This assessment, administered to students in grade 4, is designed to assess the content contained in the New York State Elementary Science Syllabi, Levels I and II, and the New York State Learning Standards of Mathematics, Science and Technology (Elementary Level). The test consists of two required components, 1) A written test which consists of multiple choice, constructed response and extended constructed response questions; 2) A performance test Form A which consists of three stations, where the students will perform a number of hands-on science tasks. The test is given the week of May 21, 2012.
